Raised
in San Francisco,
LeRoid earned his BA in Industrial Arts with Graphic / Visual Communications
emphasis (Cum Laude) at San Francisco State University. He has won
various art awards including the annual Growing Up Asian in America
College Art Award- top prize in 1997 and 1998. In 2001's Destination
Foundation's Tails of the City Gallery and Charity Auction,
his sculpture piece was featured alongside works of renowned artists
and Hollywood celebrities.
He
was the comic artist and Associate Producer for the cult-fave
independent film, Lumpia. Illustrations were also provided
for more film and video projects including the Black Eyed Peas'
The Apl Song music video in 2004 (directed by Patricio Ginelsa).
In 2005, LeRoid's logo design was chosen by the Smithsonian APA
Program Committee to become the official logo of the Filipino
American Centennial Commemoration. As
a graphic designer, he has created logos and identities for local
businesses and personalities.
